Yesterday when I quit writing, I left myself a good spot to start and today I made good use of it. It was so quiet at work, I managed to write 1200 words or so there. Good thing I carry my memory stick in my pocket. I also ended the day with a bang. Tomorrow's writing should be fun and interesting.
Line of the day: Fay stood leaning on the pass through counter watching Brady carefully slide biscuits into the boxes with a spatula when she heard a loud crack behind her. Brady dropped the biscuit he was holding and his knuckles whitened on the spatula handle. His head came up like a bird dog that has spotted a pheasant. “What the hell was that?” Fay whirled around to search the cafĂ© for the source of the sound. She saw the woman get up from the booth, her hand pressed to her left cheek, and hurry to the ladies’ room. The eyes of the remaining codgers and everyone else in the place followed her as she walked the length of the building to the bathroom behind the till. The man sat in the booth and stared at his empty plate.
I hope everybody's ready to write tomorrow night. Oh, and one of you please remember a power cord so we can get Bob signed up on the blog. I'll bring my digital camera so we can get some group pics and some writing pics to put on too.
