Flowers & Birds

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day, warm and sunny but not humid.  A day to have the windows open and let the fresh air in.

The red day lilies are still blooming away.  There are four plants in a row and they've each got at least six flowers a day.

One of the Stella d'Oro lilies is eking out a flower a day this week after a couple weeks with no little yellow lilies.

A pair of male Goldfinches were all over the Black-eyed Susans but were too far away to be in focus in pictures, dang it.  And a Hummingbird came to the feeder but didn't land and didn't stay long enough for a picture.

This Downy Woodpecker came to the suet cakes and then flew over to the birdbath for a drink.  It's rare to see a woodpecker at the birdbath.

I started another Gramma's Favorite dishcloth.  The yarn was handy and the needles were empty so ...

Today's toss was a caftan I made a couple summers ago that I just love but I tried it on and I can't wear it, not with any modesty anyway.

The prompt today said to write a fake social media profile for yourself.  Aren't all social media profiles fake?

Those daylilies are something to behold. Love that color. Only wildlife in our backyard yesterday was a dead rat in the pool!! EEEKKK!! Paul wasn't swimming when he spotted him. Double dose of chlorine from the pool guy today.
