What Happened to Today?

That's what I asked myself about 5 o'clock.  The day just got away from me, but that didn't keep me from making an executive decision about supper.  Mmm, pizza.  I called Papa Murphy's and got a Large so there was enough for supper and enough for me to have 3 pieces for lunches this next week, with one left for Durwood.  My mama didn't raise no dummies--and I had a $1 off coupon too.  *taps temple while nodding sagely*

Last night at Friday Night Knitting I got Dobby Hat #3 knitted onto Hat(s) 1 & 2, then followed the directions for the next few rows but it wasn't looking like the picture.  Now I know that I don't have to knit patterns exactly and there's nothing wrong with using the pattern as a jumping off point but it wasn't looking the way I'd hoped, and when I looked at it when I got home and again today the hat looked like it was going to fit Sasquatch.  This is not a small hat, not a medium hat, and maybe not even a large hat.  I frowned at it for a few hours and decided to tink (knit backwards) a round and a half, through about eight cable crossings--talk about frowning--and picking up one dropped stitch, to the beginning of the first cable round after joining Hat #3 to the hat body.  Now I'm planning to make a cable crossing in each 6-stitch section to pull in the hat body so it has a ghost of a chance to fit a normal size head.  We'll see.  I don't mind making cables and I'm not decreasing any stitches but cables pull in your knitting so this should be okay.  *she says with her fingers crossed*

I stayed up too late finishing a novel to have time to write so th-th-that's all folks.

When all else fails, there's always pizza! It's definitely our "go to" on nights when I don't feel like cooking. We dined on the last of the Beach Week fried chicken last night along with Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. Their commercial "You know you love it" speaks right to me!
