I Can Knit To That

On a blog that I read every day, Modern Daily Knitting, they frequently have a post entitled Knit To This. I don't know if Somebody Feed Phil has ever been featured on there but it should be. I watched two episodes tonight, Saigon and Tel Aviv, and knitted more rounds on the One Skein Hat than I have in days. I want to go to Saigon. I wanted to eat just about everything he showed me. I'm not so sure about Tel Aviv. The only things that really intrigued me were shakshouka and hummus.

When I walked up the street this evening I realized that I was walking through fallen leaves. In August. What's up with that? They weren't pretty colors, they were brown which seems to mean that the tree isn't in the best of health. It's way too early for leaves to fall.

Then I turned the corner and saw the half-moon up in the clear sky. I even managed to take a picture of it with my phone. It looked so pretty up there in the evening light. (It's way up in the right-hand corner.)

I remembered to vote this morning. I hope that you all voted either in person or absentee. It's so very important that we all exercise our right to vote because it would be so easy to lose it.

Today I delved back into Draw 500 Fabulous Flowers and picked what I think are morning glories. They were easy to draw and almost fun.

This afternoon I worked at translating 3rd person scenes into 1st person overheard or gossip scenes. Part of me thinks that I'd have better luck with this whole mess if I printed it out and had actual paper pages to deal with. I could switch them around and cut and tape them together in different ways. Maybe then I'd be able to see where I should go and what I need to write to put it all together. I feel like I really need to write more scenes in Seaview with guests and stuff like that.

I stopped over at CS's house to pick up "a few" knitted items to give to charity. Well. Her definition of a few and mine are pretty far apart. There are seven bags of things. Now not all of the bags are full, in fact most of them aren't even half full but there's still a lot of knitted things to figure out where they should go. Never fear I'll get the job done. Preemie hats go to the NICU. Toe caps go to the ortho clinic. Baby blankets go to the ADRC with LB so NS can take them to her church. See? I'm almost done already. I wonder who'd like the knitted slippers and the dishcloths. I have a pile of dishcloths with no place to go.

Nice to have someplace to donate all your handmade things.
