Barbara, I like the close observation of color that you give: navy blue, then teal, then turquiose. The image of broken teeth has a certain rough charm. You suggest the inhospitable nature of the place with broad strokes, and that's all to the good. But what, for instance, does the wind feel like on the face? What are the smells? Most of all, though, there's nobody there to experience all this tumult and tough beauty. Nobody that I can detect, at any rate. I may be wrong, but I think that you have turned the corner on this thing.
Bob;-)
