A male Goldfinch stopped by for a few seconds this morning. Just long enough for me to take his picture. He's a little blurry but you can see his beautiful yellow feathers with the black accents. His black beret isn't visible but it's there.
And the male Oriole was back. I see him nearly every day. Tomorrow I have to check the grape jelly to make sure there's some in the dish. I probably need to make sugar water for the Hummingbird feeder too. Either a lot of Hummingbirds are coming on the sly or the feeder leaks because it's emptying pretty quickly. I can get a new feeder at the birdseed store for not a lot of moolah. Maybe I'll do that this week.
I drew Flowers today. I just used a fine-liner pen and didn't color them in. Didn't feel like coloring today.
I had a Zoom with cda this morning. We talked about writing and discussed possible things to put into a The Seaview Series book 4. Book 4! I was certain that book 3 was the end of the series but evidently not. She also expressed an interest in a second book after the one I'm working on now. Sheesh! Let me get one done first, why don't ya?
Then I had lunch with part of the St. Agnes Class of '65 at a sports bar. The talk still revolved around the Draft and what it did and didn't do for Green Bay's economy. It was supposed to be a boom but for most businesses it turned out to be a bust. Too bad.
Tonight was OJ's second soccer game of the season. They played better than last game and the score was closer but they still lost.
I also put fresh sheets on the bed. A king-size bed is a lot of sheets. One of these days I'm going to go buy me a queen-size bed and get rid of this acre of bed which is a lot of bed for one little old lady. I sleep on one side for a few days and then switch to the other side so the mattress doesn't get worn unevenly. Is that nuts?
