And what groceries did I get? I got a family pack of boneless chicken breasts (that had one bone in one breast) that I brought home to marinate for a day or two. I forgot to check to make sure I had enough soy sauce. I didn't. But I was able to substitute tamari sauce which I don't know why I had it but I was glad that I did. On Tuesday I'll fire up the charcoal and grill them, then I'll have 12 suppers (I cut them in half once they're cooked) of grilled chicken breast. Mm. I bought frozen broccoli too so I'll have a veggie with my chicken. Maybe I'll even get some fresh veggies like asparagus to have. I got watermelon chunks and bananas too. Also one big carton of plain Greek yogurt. Not that you care.
Once again the only Oriole I saw today was the female. I saw her three different times. She didn't seem to mind that the grape jelly is REALLY watered down now that it's been rained on twice today.
The best picture of the day, though, is this one of the Downy Woodpecker taking a Slinky ride before flying over to the suet cakes.
I spent most of the afternoon and evening finishing the Kindle edit of the latest manuscript and then transferring the edits to the computer. A lot of what I found were making contractions but there were also places where I was able to untangle some awkward wording. And I found at least one place to add in a scene with my female main character and one of the men sniffing around her.
Today's drawing prompt was Butterflies & Moths. I couldn't figure out the examples and then it dawned on me that she'd only drawn the wings on one side of the body. A couple of them had faint lines indicating the other side but most didn't. So that's the way I drew them too. It was kind of satisfying since I can never make the second side match the first. Maybe she has the same problem?
And after supper I drew today's gratitude journal. I put "more sun than rain" on there right before the second rainstorm showed up. Now I think it's a tie.
That was mostly it for my day. I went over to wish DIL1 a happy birthday and give her a gift. It was great to sit and visit for a few minutes. We don't get to do that much since we're all busy. Well, they are with school and work and Scouts and piano and soccer plus friends. I just sit here and write, draw, and paint. My favorite thing is being able to jump in and drive or pick up when they need me to. LC requested more crocheting. Yay! And OJ saved his birthday money and bought a huge, complicated Lego set that he's really working hard on. That kid is a Lego genius! Can you tell how proud I am?

You're all set in the chicken department. Good planning ahead. Nice bird pictures today -- especially the riding woodpecker.
