I refilled the birdbath too and this Mourning Dove was doing a little bathing but mostly just standing in the water staring off into space. Mourning Doves are curious creatures. They stand around and peck at the fallen seed. Sometimes they fly up into the platform feeder and peck away at the safflower seeds. I don't think that they're the brightest crayon in the box.
This Sparrow found out that I filled the feeders and made himself at home. He didn't fling out too much seed so maybe there'll be some left tomorrow.
Most of the day I spent back here trying to beef up my manuscript and figure out how to use the parts that I like but that Rose doesn't see. How can I make her see those things? And there's always gossip. Surely someone will scurry over to Seaview to fill her in on what's happening. I sent four Hungarian bird watchers to stay at Seaview and just remembered that Hungarians are big flirts. That could be interesting. Hmmm.
This evening after supper I cued up my audiobook and finished the crown decreases of the Monterey Sea Life beanie. Next I have to soak it and block it, then embroider on the orange fishes. To be honest, I'm not really looking forward to that part but it's necessary.
Then I cast on a sock. I pulled out the yarn and my usual pattern a few days ago and was eager to start but made myself wait until the hat was mostly done before casting on and starting to knit the cuff.
I didn't paint today. I just wasn't in the mood and the next flower is a Magnolia and it looks hard. Instead I went to the grocery (yes, again, I was out of bananas again) and bought some chicken breasts that I've got marinating. I'll grill them tomorrow or Saturday for a couple weeks of suppers. I also bought some Lean Cuisine frozen dinners to try. A couple of them cost more points than I'd hoped but I'll eat them and enjoy them. One of them is Mac & Cheese with broccoli. I'm really looking forward to that one. Soon I'll get back to Investment Cooking and take the thinking out of what to have for supper again.

That sealife beanie is too cute. I know it wasn't your favorite project but you've got to add the fish.
