This morning when I was rolling up my yoga mat I spied the Red-bellied Woodpecker on the suet cakes. Naturally it was pecking on the back side of the feeder but fortunately it was on the edge so it would lean away from the suet and I could see it. I think this is a juvenile, one of this summer's chicks.
Then later on I saw a Junco on the patio and managed to take a decent picture of it. After it flew away I went out and filled all of the feeders. Not the suet cakes because they weren't empty but all the rest and I brought in the jelly dish and soaked it in dishwater because it was sticky and disgusting. Now it's clean and ready to be put away for the winter.
I started over in the book 20 Ways to Draw a Tree this afternoon. My fern at the bottom got a little small but I like the other figures pretty well.
When I got on Facebook this morning I had a notice that they took off last night's post because they said it was spam. I tried reposting it and that was instantly removed. I asked for a review so now I wait for a few days to see what they come up with. I'm a little afraid to post tonight's blog for fear I get banned for life but I think I'll risk it.
This afternoon I managed to write a bit on the manuscript. Thank Heavens! I was beginning to feel very bad, sad, and mad when I sat down to write but today I eked out almost 800 words. I feel better.
