The bleeding hearts are more in bloom than they were the other day when I looked at them. Their little heart-shaped flowers with the drop petal below are looking beautiful.
I can't take flower pictures without taking more pictures of the white violets that are all over the backyard. I don't want to mow, not only because I don't want to cut them down, I also just don't want to mow.
And the irises, or flags as my grandma used to call them, have sent up flower stalks and the buds are there getting ready to open.
The baby bunny was eating up the fallen seed and cracked corn I dropped when I filled the feeders so I took its picture. The flash went off and it reflected in its eye so it looks like a rabid bunny. But I don't think it is.
A Downy Woodpecker landed on the round feeder and actually pecked in the port instead of going over to the suet cakes. It's rare to see one on the feeder so I'm glad I got a picture of it.
I don't think I showed you the glass plant stake I got from KA the watercolor teacher. She also does fused glass in addition to watercolor painting and she brought enough for us each to have one. She's so nice. I'm so glad I take painting from her.
I spent most of the afternoon rereading short stories and tidying them up to eventually be posted on Substack so I almost forgot to draw or paint. I pulled out my sketchbook while my supper was heating in the microwave and sketched this landscape. I thought about coloring it but didn't have time. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.
Tonight at Friday Night Knitting I worked on getting to the toe decreases and then working on the toe. I've got about eight more rounds to go.
And that's it for today. I've got the last Market on Military tomorrow so I need to hit the hay. Good night!

Do not mow as long as those sweet little violets are blooming in your yard. It would be cruel to chop them off. Besides that, put off mowing as long as you can!
