Fresh Chocolate Mulch

I got fresh mulch today. Chocolate colored mulch, not that weird cocoa hull mulch that smells like chocolate at first and then gets oddly moldy and smells bad later. I didn't apply it or shovel it, I just paid for it. It looks better.

Every time I sat down at the table today I saw something zip past the patio door. It was Flash, the zippy baby bunny, not Bobo, the one that sits there looking around. I managed to catch this shot of Bobo sitting still for a second. Flash is just a brown blur before I've even got the camera up when it shoots past.

Today's sketching prompt was Hands. She drew hands like this as examples in the book so I copied what she did because I like the way they look. The top one is my hand, my palm actually. My lifeline is broken so I'm amazed that I'm as old as I am. Maybe palmistry isn't an exact science.

I drew yesterday's journal page this morning. I got beer for knitting but then knitting didn't happen because two of the women aren't well so we rescheduled. Happily the beer will stay good in the fridge but I'm having to eat the pimento cheese because that won't make it until the 12th. Aw, too bad.

I finished the Wooble Unicorn tonight at Friday Night Knitting. I crocheted and attached the ears and embroidered the blush under the eyes. I need to arrange a time to sit down with LC again to help her make progress on her unicorn.

And I added to the Zauberball Crazy Sock. One more inch of foot and it'll be time to knit the toe. Then what will I knit? I don't know. I've got a hat started that has a chart to knit the body and the crown from and that takes more concentration than I have at Friday Night Knitting. I guess I'll have to go down and wind up some more yarn and make another hat with alpaca. It's so nice to knit with and it's bulky so it knits up faster. I like that.

This afternoon before knitting I finished the latest read-through of my next novel and emailed it to my Kindle. That means I can take the Kindle and a pad of paper along to The Clearing and start reading it when it looks more like a book and take notes.

Tomorrow's the second to the last Market on Military. It's time for it to be done. I've kind of run out of steam.

That little unicorn looks so cute. Nice touch of the blush beneath her eyes.
