Since today was the day before Easter, the market organizers provided us with plastic eggs with treats inside that we were to hide around our booths for the kids to find. There weren't too many kids there today but the ones that were there seemed to enjoy it. One little girl would pick up an egg, open it, and put it back if she didn't like the candy in it!
This Cardinal arrived almost as soon as I opened the drapes this morning. It tolerated sharing the feeder with a pair of House Finches and a Mourning Dove. This one plays well with others.
The Sketchbook Challenge opened to prompt 19 today which was Transport. So I drew and colored in my vehicle, my beloved red Chevy HHR which is 17 years old and still going strong. Then I drew a bicycle and hot air balloon just for fun.
What can I say about today's watercolor? I like it better the farther away I am from it when I look at it. I can't make my dabs look like leaves the way she can and water doesn't behave for me the way she says it's supposed to. But I'll keep trying. Along about this time I start to wonder if I should have signed up for watercolor at The Clearing because I'm struggling but I like the teacher, I like the place, and I like painting. So I'm going.
And here's one more look at the clump of daffodils closest to the front door. They're so perky and springy and I love them.
We only have two more market days to endure, thank heavens. It's hard to sit or stand there and not sell books. I'm tired when I get home from those four hours of being on. We are definitely not doing the market again next year. It just isn't worth it. I also ordered 10 more copies of my new book. Having them spread out--2 in the car, 3 at the market, 3 sold--only leaves me with 2 at home. I need some to take up to the Sturgeon Bay bookstore that sells my books in 2 weeks so as soon I got home this afternoon I put in my order. They should arrive before I leave for a week. Fingers crossed.

The daffodils are the star of the show today. And congrats on selling three of the new book. At least the four hours at the Market weren't in vain.
