A Daytime Bunny

Usually bunnies show up around sunset under the feeders to glean what's left after the Mourning Doves, Sparrows, Juncos, and chipmunk have come through. But today this one came in the middle of the day. Maybe I just don't see them but it was unusual enough that I took its picture.

It was drizzling when I got up this morning. We had thunderstorms overnight but the storms moved off for most of the day. I took a walk this afternoon and the next wave of storms was moving in. When it thundered right over my head I picked up the pace and didn't get struck by lightning or rained on.

I stopped on my way into the house to take a picture of the newly open daffodils under the mailbox. This one in particular caught my eye.

Today's drawing prompt was Faces. I have a hard time drawing faces so anytime I can practice is a good thing. I didn't sketch quickly but I didn't agonize over them or erase when using a pencil. I call that progress.

I decided to take another stab at the watercolor flowers I painted yesterday. I have to say that I like yesterday's better, they're brighter and fill the page better.

The third and final Christmas/Easter cactus blossom is fully open now. I love the way it looks with the petals stretching out from the center, like ruffles on a skirt.

Tonight at Friday Night Knitting I finished the heel gusset. I turned the heel the other night and switched to DPNs to knit the gusset. I just can't wrap my head around doing it with Magic Loop so I switch back and forth. Now it's back on the long circular needle for knitting down the foot and making the toe.

The only writing work I did today was rereading the scenes I wrote yesterday. I'm pleased to say that they're not gibberish. I take that back. I made six new Amazon Ads for my new title this morning.

Tomorrow is another Saturday Market. I've got a few copies of Spies Don't Retire in the bag to take along. Maybe I'll even sell one. That'd be good.

No wonder that daffodil caught your eye. It's a beauty. And that last blossom on the Christmas/Easter cactus is opening right on time. Love the shot of the bunny and two little sparrows.
