De-decorated

This evening I finished de-decorating the Christmas tree. I had to take it down from on top of the table in front of the living room windows to reach the ornaments on top and the topper. Tomorrow I'll bring up the box the tree lives in and collapse it like a cheap umbrella and put it away. I'll get in touch with DS and ask him to come over some time in the next week to carry the ornament bin downstairs. I managed to get it upstairs with just empty boxes in it but don't think I can get it back downstairs safely. I'm afraid of stairs. I always think I'll fall.

I took another try at the poppy watercolor from the new book and think it turned out better today. I used a different brush. It still didn't act like she said it would so I looked up a brush on Amazon with the name she used and ordered one. What the heck, I can always use another brush, right?

This squirrel was being such a bully today. I heard this grunting, growling sound outside the patio door and looked to see this squirrel up on the suet nuggets threatening another squirrel on the ground. The ground squirrel jumped up and tried to push this one off but that didn't happen.

In the morning I went over to Michaels to pick up my hollyhock watercolor that I had framed. I really like the way it turned out. Next I have to find a hanger for it. It isn't light.

I skipped supper because I had a huge lunch out with the St. Agnes Class of '65. I had a chicken sandwich and they had Tater Tots back on the menu. Hooray! They also have sweet potato fries but I like Tots better. Instead of eating I drew a gratitude journal for today. I was most grateful for the wet, not icy roads when I was out and about today.

Before I went to Michaels I drove to the eye doctor's office to pick up my new glasses. They aren't as cool looking as the ones I got from Eyemart Express but the lenses have prisms in them to correct my lazy eye muscles. They're working pretty well, not perfect, but she said it'll take time for my brain to adjust. I could tell right away that they were better than plain glass. Now if they only didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I wrote 684 words today. Rose is still getting her strength back from her bout with the flu and her self-delusion that she wasn't needed. I have to figure out a way to wrap this thing up. I'm up to 300 pages of first draft with no end in sight. Yikes! I also need to finish editing the last manuscript I put aside for Novel November. It's almost ready to publish and I got a call from a fan last night asking when the next book is coming out because he needs something good to read. Flattering!

I also need to get myself organized and finish uploading my audiobooks to Voices by IN/audio. I've got the first two of the Seaview Series on there but I need to sit here and work on uploading the tracks in the correct order and getting all my audiobooks out there on the market not only on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes.

This morning I noticed that yoga was a little easier than it was last week and that's only doing it 6 times. I take Sundays off. That proves that even doing a little something is better than doing nothing. It also proves that even I can be trained.

Be sure to hang your Hollyhock rendering in a place where everyone can see and admire it. So glad to see it framed. Really beautiful.
