And I thought I was safe to walk up the hill to take pictures of the last of the orange day lilies. There are very few left blooming.
And only one rust & yellow lily flower left too. Pretty soon it'll be all leaves and weeds. I keep looking at the weeds and thinking somebody should go out there and pull some weeds but I'm just not ready to risk my knee. Maybe when it feels a little better.
This afternoon I finished the Red Tater Tot Monster. I cut down the felt circles around her eyes and looped on some white hair that I trimmed short so it sticks up. I haven't named her, I'll get LC to help with that.
Today's drawing prompt was Fruits & Veg so I drew some lemon pieces and parts and one whole lemon.
Instead of working on a novel manuscript I transcribed 16 more story starts out of prompt notebooks and got them uploaded to Word. There's one more notebook with post-its in it to be dealt with and then I'll see about turning one of them into a story. A couple of them are stirring around in my noggin so maybe I'll be lucky with one and get a story out of it.
Here's today's gratitude journal page. I should have also added the dishwasher because I'm so grateful that I can stick all the dirty dishes in there and just push buttons. But it's just a rectangle with wheels. Not a very inspiring thing to draw.
I had an email from Kindle Direct Publishing this morning that the cover of the paperback version of Christmas at Seaview wasn't right and had to be redone. Grr. I suspected that it wouldn't fly because the spine is so narrow and the title and author name barely fit on the spine. So I changed it to the original version without the title, etc. on there and hope I don't get another email overnight that something else is wrong.
I'm over halfway through My Name is Barbra. It's okay. Not riveting but she's very thorough about all her songs and movies. I won't get through it before time to return it but that's all right. I'll survive. Or check it out again and keep going. I haven't decided.
