Sunny Sunday!

The day is living up to its name with acres of sunshine out the windows. It's nowhere near warm out there but it is sunny. A good day to change the sheets and put out fresh towels. It's been warmish the last couple days, naturally I've been at work. I'm ready to go outside for a walk. I need some fresh air--or a nap.

March 5--Childe Hassam, Street in Portsmouth.

Summers were endless
in the hot white light.
Leaves painted gray shadows
on clapboard and brick.
Dogs were friendly,
pianos stayed in tune,
it only rained at night.
Sand stayed on the shore
and waves lapped at knees.

It was late. I was tired.
