And So It Begins

They've been predicting 3-5" or 5-7" of snow overnight and tomorrow. It started snowing a little while ago and it looks like it's not going to stop for hours and hours and hours. We're right in the middle of a big blue mass on the weather radar so we're in for it. The only good thing is that there isn't much wind. I'll be wearing long johns and boots to the Market tomorrow. I just hope there are customers and that at least one of them wants to buy a book.

I drew yesterday's gratitude journal page this morning--again. I can't decide which red thing is my favorite, the big red snowblower or using my red car for the school run. Both are worthy of gratitude.

When I was fixing my lunch I glanced out the window and saw this Mourning Dove perched on the crook with the little heart that hangs from the window latch next to it. I thought it was appropriate for Valentine's Day.

The acrobatic squirrel was back on the suet cakes this afternoon. I think it's the squirrel that finished off the suet nuggets and then swung back down to the suet cakes to eat some of that. Another squirrel was on the ground under him picking up any morsels that fell.

I thought I was so smart yesterday when I put all of my writing expenses in categories and added them together. Turns out that's the wrong thing to do so I spent this afternoon breaking the lists apart and putting each item on the Excel sheet on its own. Plus I had to put down how many books I bought all year and how many I had left at the end of 2024. Lots of counting and calculating this afternoon.

I found this picture in Seuss-isms and couldn't resist it. Mine isn't as good looking as Dr. Seuss's but I couldn't resist the picture of the kid who'd made himself sick slurping up six sodas.

And at Friday Night Knitting I added a couple inches of ribbing to the Llama Gathering Hat. It looks like it's going to be a small hat but that's okay. There'll be some head that it fits.

I did a little manuscript reading this morning before my appointment with the tax accountant. I haven't found too many things to fix or quibble with which makes me happy. I still haven't gone back to read the comments on my first blurb attempt. I'll do that tomorrow afternoon or Sunday once I've moved all the snow off the driveway. I am not looking forward to that.

That acrobatic squirrel does put on a show for you every day. Good luck at the market today 👍. Hope all the snow doesn't keep everyone away.
