The squirrels were busy today. I saw this one on the suet nuggets feeder. At first it had its back to me and was nibbling away with a lot of enthusiasm, then it moved around to the side so I could see it better.
Later on I watched one leap from the suet cakes feeder across to the square green feeder. On the first try it landed on top, tried to swing down to the perch, and fell down. But it wasn't discouraged. It scampered back to the birdbath and tried again. That time it went straight for the perch, caught it, and climbed right in. I am amazed at the distance it can leap.
Today's drawing is a Rooster. Once again I started in the middle of the page when I should have moved over to the left a little so the tail feathers weren't squeezed on the right. It looks okay this way.
I finished knitting Scrap Hat #2 this morning while watching CBS Sunday Morning. I only had one round to knit before it was time to close up the top so it didn't take long.
What took long was casting on Scrap Hat #3 because I twisted the cast-on when I started knitting the first round and had to take it out and start again. Then I knitted on the ribbing while listening to the end of Project Hail Mary on audiobook. It didn't end the way I thought it would but it was a good story and a good ending. I didn't cry. It would have been a hard book to read in paper or digital, I think, but was an easy listen even if it was 16 hours long. It didn't seem that long.
Tonight I watched Guys and Dolls on Prime. I could sing along to all of the songs on that one too. God, I'm old.

That beginning of scrap hat #3 looks like a tiera.
