It was dim when I got up this morning and it wasn't very early. The clouds were thick and it was drizzling. All day it was dreary but I don't think it rained much after the morning.
I lost interest in the rest of the flower drawings. They looked too complicated and I was getting tired of them so I picked out a different drawing book and paged through it instead of starting at the beginning. I landed on this picture of a bee. I think of bees as my spirit animal because it's my initial.
This evening we met at CS's house to eat and knit. We never got around to knitting but we managed to eat like champs. CS made Reuben sandwiches with the leftover corned beef from St. Patrick's Day, KE brought fruit, I brought veggies & dip, and DM brought apple pie with vanilla ice cream. And as we were leaving CS gave each of us a small loaf of Irish soda bread. I confess I broke off a bite of mine when I got home. It's good.
I spent most of the day reading and critiquing the pages for next Wednesday. I was sure I wouldn't have time to tackle all of the pages but I got through all three of them at least once today. I hardly did anything else but that's okay. I don't have to do anything. I'm retired.
The only other thing I accomplished today was to hand wash my support stockings. I discovered that my knee feels better when I wear them so I've been wearing them every few days. I don't like to put them in the washer so I rinse them out in the sink and hang them over the shower rod to dry overnight. Like the old days of hand washing dainties.
