She's Here!
DS & DIL1 had their baby yesterday afternoon at 3:29, 8# 9 oz., 21.5" long. They said I can share pictures but they don't want her name on the 'web (but her initials are LC). It's a pretty, old fashioned name, I had an aunt named L, and her middle name is for her maternal great-grandmother. She's pink and plump and has a great set of lungs that she was exercising quite well. I got to hold her and rock her and can't wait to do it more. Mama looked pretty good for working that hard all day and Daddy looked kind of stunned at his good fortune to have such beautiful girls in his life. (I just realized that they have a girl dog and 4 girl chickens; the poor guy's waaaaay outnumbered.) Durwood's got his breakfast with pals this morning and it's in the cafeteria of the same hospital where the baby is, isn't that good luck? I'm showered and am coffee-ing so I'll be bright and awake to visit my new best girl.

Oh my goodness!!! I've never seen such happy people. What a precious little girl! Love her name. (And how can Abby look so beautiful after just giving birth???) Congrats all around!
