A Lazy Day

Even though we didn't have Thanksgiving today so I didn't really have any claims on my time I kind of just lazed the day away. I spent a couple hours watching the next challenge video from Ad School and making a couple new keyword ads for my most profitable (and only) series.

The way I discovered which books were most profitable was by following a formula from the video. I learned how to calculate Return On Investment by finding Royalties and Ad Spend, then subtracting the Ad Spend from the Royalties to get the Profit. Next I divided Profit by Ad Spend to find the ROI percentage. It was very eye-opening, especially when I split out the two books of the series and calculated their ROI separately. My newest title, Open For Business, is carrying the load for the series right now. Makes sense to me that the latest book would sell the best.

The only drawing I did was making yesterday's gratitude journal page this morning. I'll have to do better, do more tomorrow.

I hauled up the slicer and sliced up both loaves of Onion Bread. I put one in the freezer and the other one is ready to take along on Saturday afternoon to our belated Thanksgiving feast. DS is making Mom's old green beans almondine recipe and I can't wait to have some. I'm sure he'll make some regular green beans for those with uneducated palates.

After supper I pulled out the more complicated of the Christmas knitting projects and discovered that I'd cast on too many stitches so it was too big. So I ripped out all that I had knitted and started over on the second half. I guess it pays to read the pattern before you leap.

I did yoga and got dressed this morning so I did do some things instead of laying around all day like a slug.

There's a home football game tonight. I just checked the weather and it's 27 degrees with a 46% chance of snow before the end of the game. I'm glad I'm sitting here indoors where it's nice and warm.

That bread slicer is one nifty thing. Impressive. Watched part of the football game last night and it did look cold up there. So did the Dolphins!!
