I put up a Christmas tree this afternoon. I wasn't going to but I hosted knitting tonight and thought it'd be festive to have a tree up. It didn't take me long to put it up but I like the way it looks. It's a Charlie Brown tree that I got at Walgreen's about 12 years ago. It usually lives in the bathroom but today it's in pride of place in the center of the table. It was a big hit with the knitters.
It was so warm when I went out to top up the birdbath this morning that I stayed out and filled the feeders. The Sparrows were the first arrivals and the whole flock came. There was a lot of jockeying for a perch on the round feeder...
... and a slew of Sparrows on the ground under it. They were all being calm pecking away and then suddenly every one of them flew away. It was like someone blew a whistle.
I also filled the cob corn and a Bluejay came to peck at the kernels. I tried to get a picture of it on the corn but it was all blurry so all I got was this silhouette of it on top of the fence. It's still blurry but I'm posting it.
While I waited for the knitters to arrive I pulled out the iPad and my drawing things to do the next lesson but I couldn't concentrate so I did a little and then put it away. I'll take another stab at it tomorrow when I'm not thinking of other things.
I didn't take a picture of the Bullet Journal pages I did yesterday so I took one today. It was fun to go back over the things I wrote down throughout the year and pick notable ones to use. I also had a hard time just choosing two pictures to put on the pages. I could have loaded them up but I like the mix of pictures, washi tape, and writing.
This afternoon I got to do the school run and got all the way home and in the house before I remembered that I meant to go to Zambaldi for beer to serve tonight. So back on went my jacket and I drove across town to the taproom, got the beer, stopped at Kwik Trip for bananas, and came back home. *sigh* It would have been so much more efficient if I'd gone there right from dropping off LC and OJ but I had to do it the hard way.
Three of the Christmas/Thanksgiving cactus flowers are open. Three! At! Once! In the history of the plant that has never happened before, and there are a couple other buds that look like they're on the verge. Amazing!
And now it's time for me to say goodnight. I'm tired and it's time to turn in.

Yes, your place looks festive -- with the Charlie Brown tree and the very vigorous Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus. All the pictures great today. Love your bullet journal.
