I suspect that the feeder-diving squirrel is one particular squirrel and not a bunch of them. This morning it hung out of the feeder looking like it was too stuffy inside for comfortable eating. It would dive in, pick out a peanut half even if it had to dig for one, and then lean outside to eat it. As much as I don't want the squirrel to use the birdseed as kitty litter, I still don't chase it away. Seeing it in there, especially now that the level of seed is such that it's all the way in, amuses me no end.
The Red-bellied Woodpecker visited today too. First on the suet nuggets and then it flew down to the square green feeder to prospect for a peanut half. But first it shooed away all of the Sparrows. Evidently she doesn't want to share.
I spent almost all of the morning working to get The Seaview published on a site called Gumroad from where I can sell eBooks on BookFunnel, not Amazon. KM helped immensely by checking it out ahead of time and then guiding me through the steps to publish it on there. I need to finish going through Open For Business's final manuscript so I can make a pdf and publish that one on there too, followed by Spies Don't Retire. Eventually I want to get them all on there so I have another avenue for sales outside of Amazon. I also downloaded the Open For Business audiobook to INaudio's site so I can sell audiobooks in other places too. I have to wait for the ISBN for those to be processed before I can proceed. I'm determined to spread my net wider looking for buyers.
Once again I had a bit of trouble focusing on Novel November's words today. I did make something happen. Iggy had to get stitches because he got hurt working on the family racing sailboat. It isn't much but it's something. I managed to get up to 1,699 words in about 2 1/2 hours. As long as my word count is over 1,667 a day, I'm happy. These pages are my sailing regatta research from an Anguilla website or three and from Wikipedia. It's easier for me to use if I print it out instead of having to bookmark the sites and then access them when I'm trying to write.
After supper I drew today's prompt which was Rooftops. The only rooftop view I have is the frosty roofs across the street. I tried drawing it but had trouble with the white colored pencil not really making the light brown roof color pale enough. I like the leaf colors though and I like that I just drew it without agonizing over it. It's not very good but it's done and I did it.
I drew a gratitude journal today too. I was most grateful for KM's assistance in getting my first ebook set up on Gumroad. She's very gracious about me motivating her to learn things so she can help me. I was also grateful for the mug of hot chocolate I made this afternoon when my fingers were so cold they could barely type.
Once again I started a painting after supper. It's another landscape from the pack of photos I took at The Clearing over the years and printed off. I'll show you tomorrow after I finish it. Or maybe Sunday because Saturday will be taken up with another sale. It's the second craft and vendor fair we're doing this fall. It runs from 10am-3pm so I might not have the oomph to finish the painting that day if I don't get it done tomorrow when I have 2 Zooms, one for writing and one for knitting. And I have to write my daily words. Can't forget those.
