The Red-bellied Woodpecker showed up this morning but it waited until the feeder was in deep shadow so it didn't show up very well in the picture. I was able to adjust the photo a bit so it's a little more visible.
As soon as I filled the feeder this morning a whole host of Sparrows landed on and around it and started squabbling over who got to sit on the perch and which port was whose. I didn't take a picture because I was too close to the patio door so when I moved they all flew away. So you get a Sparrows picture I took yesterday. That's okay. They pretty much all look the same. Except today the feeder is full. Oh, and the squirrel showed up and was very surprised at the level of seed. It took it a while to figure out how to get on top of the seed without being in the feeder.
I got two shipments from Amazon yesterday. One was some of the books I'd ordered. The other was a new (refurbished) Nintendo Wii. I hooked it up and got it to work but the remotes don't seem to be working right. I looked it up online and they said that too much sunshine could make them malfunction. By then I was too frustrated to close the drapes and try again. I'll do that another day.
Yesterday's drawing prompt was the last one in the sketching book and also the last page in my sketchbook so I dug out a new sketchbook and pulled out Drawing Cute to work through to the end instead of drawing random things out of it. Today was Football and Hockey. They're okay. I don't think they're terribly cute.
I read through what I wrote yesterday and added about 50 words of dialogue to the bland narrative about the day on the sailboat. Today I wrote about what happened after the sailing and the night's jump-up (dance party) at the local beach bar. I hinted at some conflict which was the best I could do today. The total of words today is 2,190 which puts me way over 25,000 so I'm over halfway to my goal of 50,000. Yippee!
