I think you can really see the squirrel inside the feeder in this picture. I cropped it down enough that you can see the furry tail near the lid of the feeder. I meant to go out and refill the feeder today but lost track of time. I'll fill it tomorrow.
In the morning I reloaded the backpack I usually take to fairs and packed an extra backpack so I don't run out of books. I've packed all of the Christmas at Seaview copies I have. I ordered 20 more on October 28 hoping that they'd be here in time for the next vendor fair but it looks like they won't make it. Dang it. I guess if I sell out no one will know, right? It's not like I have it advertised.
The other books I ordered on the 28th came today. I'm happy to have them but I wasn't as desperate for them as I am for the 20 Christmas at Seaview copies. I forgot to take a picture of the ones that arrived today. This is the last shipment of inventory minus the 5 copies of Horizon that came today too. I got them all signed, stickered, and bookmarked this afternoon so they're ready to be sold.
Another book-y thing I did today was order a Square swipe thing that fits in my phone. The original one I had fitted in my old phone which had a phone jack connector but my new phone takes a USB-C connector. It cost $10 but I could pick it up at Best Buy today so I'll have it for Saturday. Sometimes the "tap to pay" works on my phone and sometimes it doesn't so I'm glad to have the swiper rather than have to enter every credit card sale manually.
I buckled right down to write today's words in the morning. My plan was to write Rose riding along in the sailboat race and I'd found a first-person account of someone riding in a race so I used that for reference. I need to go back and insert some dialogue but I'll do that another day. I wrote 1,819 words today.
Today's drawing prompt intimidated me. It was You, which meant I was supposed to draw myself. Now I'm not good at drawing people and making them look like themselves but I gave it a try. I think it looks a little like me.
The lawn mower leaf blower guy came today and zoomed around the yard gathering up all the leaves and making a tidy pile at the curb. I am SO glad I found that company (through Anji) and hired them to do the lawn work. So glad.
It was a little warmer today. Warm enough that I wore my spring/fall jacket instead of my winter coat and was comfortable. I drove out to the casino to see if I could see where we're supposed to unload on Saturday but while I saw a lot of entrances, none of them jumped out at me. I hope there are signs. We have permission to set up on Friday afternoon which will make Saturday morning less stressful. That'll be good.
