They Found It

I am happy to report that the Sparrows found the new/old tube feeder this morning and there were two of them availing themselves of the bounty and throwing seed down onto the ground for the squirrels and chipmunk to hoover up. The feeder is missing its lowest perch so I'm guessing they won't figure out how to completely empty it but that's okay I'll refill it when I notice it's nearly empty.

Just when I had about made up my mind to dump the suet nuggets and take down the feeder this Downy Woodpecker showed up. It must have read my mind. A Red-bellied Woodpecker landed on the square green feeder but wasn't there long enough to have a picture taken. I waited and waited for it to come back but it didn't. Not while I was watching anyway.

This was not my day for drawing. These are supposed to be clouds. They don't look anything like clouds. Maybe they're waves? Mountains in the distance? But definitely not clouds.

I watched the squirrel tense up and aim at the square green feeder thinking that it would land on the perch. Instead it landed on the top of the feeder and looked around like it was confused, then dropped to the ground and scampered off.

I spent a few hours this morning and afternoon going over Better Than Mom's to fix any things that need fixing before saving it as a pdf and uploading it to Book Funnel. I've signed up for a Free book promo on there and people have claimed 77 copies of The Seaview so far this month. Next, both The Seaview and Island Dreams will be available for claiming starting October 19 through the end of November. I haven't had any sales so far this month on Amazon and so I'm trying these promos. Hopefully getting a free copy will lead people to purchase the next two books in the series. Fingers crossed.

So many ways to advertise your books. Nice they're out there and you've been able to figure out how to use them
