Got The Blahs

The day started out sunny but by early afternoon it was overcast and then it started drizzling. Blah. I meant to take a walk but I had to hang around waiting for the pest nerd who never came because they had my appointment down for tomorrow. Then MB, my cleaning lady, came at noon and by the time she left it was raining. So no walk for me today.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker landed on the square green feeder and poked around until it found a peanut half and then flew away, never to return. Today anyway.

Six Juncos clustered around under the feeders pecking at the fallen seed. I tried to take a picture of all of them but they kind of fade into the grass so this one on the edge of the patio is the only one that showed up. Sorry it's blurry. I am not ready to see these harbingers of winter so soon.

Today's drawing prompt was the Moon. I thought about it and ended up drawing this cartoon of the moon taking a nap. It's not very original but it's the best I can do on a blah day.

Tonight I got out a set of Double Point Needles and started working on the thumb of the first Llama Mitten. In the process I seem to have lost two stitches but for the life of me I can't find them. They might turn up when I'm sewing in ends and I'll just tack them down as best I can.

And I suppose a day can't pass without a squirrel on the feeder picture. It's doing a good job of lowering the level of seed.

I spent the afternoon finishing my run through of Better Than Mom's and then I republished the corrected and spiffed up version. That's one thing I appreciate about Kindle Direct Publishing. If I find something wrong or just want to update a title I can do it easily. The cover's the same and the story's essentially the same, I just ran it through ProWritingAid for punctuation help so it's a little tidier. Easy peasy.

I guess the Juncos don't lie. Winter is coming but not for a while.
