It Wasn't That Hot

But evidently this squirrel felt it was hot enough that it had to press its belly to the cool concrete. It was kind of nestled against the seed can so it wasn't sprawled out like it usually is but still, here's a melted squirrel.

A pair of Cardinals spent some time on the platform feeder today. He came first for a little snack and then about an hour later brought the little woman over for a shared meal. They even tolerated a House Finch sharing the feeder for a little while but I didn't get that picture.

The drawing prompt today was Bags. I wasn't too enthusiastic about drawing so I only copied a few bags from the page and didn't even color them.

I had an Orange Blossom Muffin at breakfast today. It was very good. It would have probably been even better if I'd warmed it up in the microwave and dabbed a little butter on it. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. I bagged up most of the muffins to take over to DS's house so I don't eat them all. Even if I freeze them I know I'd manage to eat them too quickly so I'll be handing them over to other people to eat.

After supper I finished the Llama Boyfriend Hat. All that was left to do were four rounds of decreases until I got down to 5 stitches at the tippy top of the hat. There are a few tails inside the hat that need weaving in but it's essentially finished. I'm counting it done anyway.

I finished editing Christmas At Seaview this afternoon and uploaded it to Kindle Create. That's where I can set up the Table of Contents, Acknowledgements, Dedication, About the Author, and Books in This Series pages. Once I have that the way I want it, I'll preview it, then upload it in the right format to be published. I want to get in touch with GetCovers to have them fine tune the cover for the paperback. Right now there isn't printing on the spine area and I want to find out if it'll be thick enough for it.

I put ice on my sore knee muscle this afternoon and it seems to have helped. I'll do it again. In fact, I'll do it right now. Ah, that's better.

Sounds like there's still a lot to be done even after the book is pretty much finished. Details, details, details. Glad your knee feels better. Nice catching up with you on the phone yesterday.
