Then I suppose the dark pink lilies get to go next. They are pretty, very pretty even if they are pink.
Next has to come the yellow & rust lily. It's only showing one flower at a time but it faces me across the yard like it's luring me over to take its picture. So I oblige.
There's the plain yellow ones. I like their lemon chiffon color and the contrast with the bright green leaves (and weeds) around them.
Almost blending into the siding is the peach lily. It's small and kind of shy but it's out there blooming just like the big lilies.
Okay, I could go on but that's enough lilies. Today's drawing prompt was Toys & Games. I looked around and found a pouch of jacks so I thought I'd try my hand at drawing them. Jacks were challenging but I tried my best and didn't do too badly. I was the neighborhood jacks champ one summer. Not anymore. I've lost my edge plus it's not the easiest to sit on the ground these days.
After supper and before knitting I drew today's gratitude page. I'm not promising I'll keep drawing one every day but I'm quietly going to work toward that goal.
First at Friday Night Knitting I worked on the Iron Pyrite Sock. I managed to screw up only once tonight knitting Round 1 on the first half of the round and Round 2 on the second half. Luckily I realized the mistake as I was just finishing the round so I carefully tinked (tink is knit backwards) back and fixed it. Yay me! I need to knit one more 2-row repeat and then it'll be time to knit the heel flap, heel turn, and gusset. Then the foot, then the toe.
I got the beach table runner today. It's not quite as long as my tablecloths but it'll spread across the 6 ft. table just fine. I think my books will look great perched on the "beach" of it next Saturday the 26th at the Art Garage Summer Reading Book Fair. Let's hope the customers feel the same.
In the same package were the 1000 strings I got to attach the hang tags I ordered the other day to the keyrings I give away. Now I just need the tags to arrive next Friday so I can assemble them for the sale the next day. Watch it'll be just my luck that the darned tags will come on Saturday when I'm at the book fair. (BTW, that was the smallest quantity I could get. I won't run out anytime soon.)
It took the plumber about 10 seconds to fix the faucet leak on the rental side. He didn't even charge me. Now we just have to figure out how to keep the rainwater from filling up the window well and coming down the dryer vent pipe. I asked the tenant to make sure there aren't leaves blanketing the bottom of the window well. Wouldn't that be a pip if the problem was a nice thick layer of leaves? I would appreciate another cheap fix.

Glad the plumber showed up on time and got the problem solved. And then didn't even charge anything. That could only happen in GB. That table runner is perfect for your book display.
