Swinging Squirrel

I was quick enough to grab the camera and snap a picture just after the squirrel leaped from the patio chair to the round birdseed feeder. I wasn't fast enough to snap the picture as it leaped but you can kind of see that the feeder is swinging wildly. There's plenty of seed fallen onto the ground under the feeder. Squirrels are not neat eaters, plus when they leap a lot of seed falls out.

Look! I got six things on the gratitude journal page for yesterday. Washing sheets and fresh towels aren't all that gratitude-making but getting the words in and taking a walk are. And the November dandelion is just miraculous.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker was back this morning. On the back of the feeder, as usual, but it leaned over enough that I got a picture with its red head.

Today's drawing is a Bumblebee. I like drawing bees. I say they're my spirit animal because my name starts with a B. I think I did a pretty good job on this one.

I wrote 1777 words today. I don't think most of them are very good, at least they don't pertain to the murder mystery part of the story. Maybe some of them will make it into the final cut. I got an email advertising the winter session of the Novel Intensive with LL that I've taken before so I quickly signed up. There's only space for 4 participants so I'm glad I acted quickly. Funny, I was just thinking I'd contact LL to see if she knew anyone who could help me with my cozy mysteries and here she is leading a group.

For the first time in months, I was able to make the St. Agnes Class of 1964 lunch today. It was nice to see everyone. I had a burger and tots. It was okay.
