Getting notification that my audiobooks are available from other outlets let me get on the Chirp site, which is the audiobook part of BookBub, and apply for a Friday Freebie opportunity. Giving away a book won't earn any money but it's another way to get my name and my work out there. I don't know if they'll accept but it's worth a try.
I got a text from DS this morning asking if I could do the after school pickup. I said yes. He also invited me to come visit at the brewery. I said yes to that too. He was making Allie the Red, their spring seasonal, and while the beer was being pumped from the mash tun to the kettle he drew off a bit of beer from a couple of the big fermenters to check something. I forgot to ask what he was testing for but evidently things were okay because he didn't climb the ladder and throw more stuff in the tanks. He made notes on his clipboards.
Today's flower was Delphinium. Another one that intimidated me when I turned the page and when I was working on drawing it. It wasn't until I was almost finished coloring it in that I thought it might turn out okay.
This afternoon I got brave and unpublished Christmas at Seaview eBook and paperback so I could republish them with my own ISBN number. Doing the eBook went smoothly but not the paperback. For a while there it looked like Kindle Direct Publishing wouldn't accept a manuscript upload from Kindle Create. I got all frustrated and tried sixteen different ways to make it work and finally gave up and went to have supper. Then I knitted to calm down. When I came back here just now I tried again and this time it worked. Turns out I just wasn't patient enough waiting for the manuscript to upload and also I had a typo in the book title. D'oh! Things go much smoother when they're spelled correctly. So the eBook is back live with a new ISBN and the paperback is In Review and should be back online in a day or so. Doing this took the place of new writing today. Which reminded me that I needed to send off my pages for next Monday's critique session so I just went and did that.
