It was raining when I got up this morning. It was raining when I drove over to Zambaldi to visit DS. It rained when I drove home from doing the school run. And it drizzled when I drove over to the Writers Guild meeting after supper.
DS was making Yard Games IPA today. When I got there he was sanitizing the tank he planned to pump the beer into once it was done mashing and boiling. In this picture he's hooking up big hoses to run the sanitizer through them, the pump, and the chiller. There's a lot of water that flows and splashes around in a brewery. I try to wear water resistant shoes when I go there.
I decided to go back to Drawing Nature to see what the next creature was and it was a Bat. It wasn't as difficult to draw as I thought it would be. It was difficult to see how to draw the face but I did my best.
Today's watercolor was Yarrow. This was an interesting technique. The author said to draw flower shapes with a gray watercolor pencil, then paint over them with plain water, let them dry, then dab a yellow dot in the center, before painting the green stems and leaves. It's okay. I think it looks messy. And the stems are terrible. I don't know how to make skinny stems and how to make them regular. Maybe I'll practice that tomorrow.
While waiting for school to let out I finished knitting the Tiny Denim Washcloth with just over two inches of yarn left. If that's not winning yarn chicken I don't know what is.
I've been falling down on the job of drawing gratitude journal pages so I sat this afternoon and drew Sunday's and yesterday's pages. I'll do today's tomorrow morning when I've got the brain space to concentrate. Right now my brain feels kind of mushy so I'll wait.
Since the weather was so crummy today I was glad that I went and voted early absentee a couple weeks ago. I hope that the rainy day didn't keep too many people away from the polls. We need everybody to vote.

Sounds like lots of water inside and out. Nice you get to spend some time with DS at the brewery especially when you wear the water-proof shoes.
