That was today. Cold. All day. It got up to 30 degrees according to the weather man and it's not supposed to "warm" up until Monday when it's supposed to be 41. Whoopee. And he said that we could have a rain and snow mix on Thanksgiving. Just great. I'm supposed to drive 45 miles to Shawano for Thanksgiving dinner but if it's slick I'm not getting on the highway.
For all the birds that showed up yesterday that's how few showed up today. I saw some Sparrows and a Mourning Dove but that was it. Nothing interesting.
I have to put more zip in my novel. I'm writing a lot of words but there isn't much exciting action going on and I'm not sure how to change it. I wrote 1712 words today and they're just lying there on the page doing nothing. Bah.
Drawing wasn't much better. In Sketching he showed how to draw bottles so I drew along. They're all right.
Then I delved into Seuss-isms for another pink tree trunk, a green sea, and a little yellow guy hanging onto a rope. I ran out of page and couldn't put on the house that was sinking into the sea.
I went down to the library this morning and spent a lonely hour sorting donated books. There was no one else there today so I labored all by myself emptying four big boxes of books and packing up two bigger boxes of sorted books. When the bins get filled then we pack them into boxes that get stacked against the wall for the next sale. Last week's sale brought in over $17,000 for the Library. Makes all the work worthwhile.
Tonight I added some rows onto the Rainbow Sophie Scarf. I'm afraid that it'll be too short so I may persevere and make the longer version. I'm sure I have enough yarn.
I had a hard time staying warm today. It's going to be a long winter, I fear.

I hope you're able to drive on Thanksgiving but only if it's not icy. I know you'll be smart and not take a chance.
